         I understand,that you build new Ambassadeurs from factory new parts.Can i pick different colors for the end covers??,.an alternate gear ratio,etc???

          YES YOU CAN!. The traditional 4600C3,5500C3, & 6500C3's come in standard silver,but your choices include: RED...BLUE...GREEN...BLACK...YELLOW...ORANGE... GOLD....GUNSMOKE

The prices for a custom built Ambassadeur C3 is $119.00 (includes tax). You have your choice of:

1. Upgrading from 5.3-1 gearing to 6.3-1 hish speed retrieve*

2. The double paddle handle or the Single T-knob power handle

3. The standard side release or the thumb bar release

4. various cover plate colors

between side release or thumb bar,double paddle handle or Power Handle,and your choice of gear ratio: 5.3-1 or 6.3 -1.

 How often should i have my reel cleaned & overhauled???

We see people who have never cleaned their reels,or at the least not in 10 years. Its vital that your reel be cleaned every 1-2 years,and have your drag washers replaced at the same time.The new Ambassadeur "2nd Generation" washers,are good for at least 3 yrs in reels that we have seen(as long as grease/oil is kept off of them) 

  I have a reel that is noisy in the gears.A friend says,"use vaseline". What do u think??

NO!!!...Vaseline is NOT RECOMMENDED,in fact the following lubricants are NOT to be used in your reel or any reel: 

Vaseline...Vicks Vaporub...Vagisil...Preparation H...Dap Hair Setting Gel..Chap Stick...Karo Corn Syrup..Graphite Powder...Toothpaste...Polygrip,and the list goes on.....(and some so-called lubes actually may cost more to clean your reel!)
